Olympic Stitching: Are You Ready?

Ok my life has finally gotten a little bit back to normal, whatever "normal" is. So the Olympics start 8-8-08 according to all the commercials. The way NBC chooses to air the events who really knows, but does anyone feel up to an Olympic stitching challenge this year?

What project have you put on hold? What project would you like to see finished? Let's get excited, pick up those needles and hoops(Qsnaps? In hand?--guess you'd be picking up those fingers right?)

Ok you have a few weeks to set an Olympic stitching goal so start pondering what you might like to finish over the Summer Olympic season.

Right now unless I manage to finish it before the opening ceremony is to finish 13th Colony Bay. If by some bizarre twist of fate I finish it before the first of August I will either get back to work on Village of Hawk Run Hollow or Sonne Spotte.

I think I'm going to try and finish at least two projects from my UFO pile.

What a great idea! I wonder if some enterprising person could create a logo or sidebar button for the event?

Me too, I think my Halloween project needs a kick start, so that is my choice.

Oh boy, there is so much I'd like to finish and I'm so totally lacking in self discipline. I'll love watching your progress, though!

As a confessed Olympic junkie(I'll watch ANY sport, as long as it's the Olympics!) - this strikes me as a great idea. Not sure what I'll stitch yet, but as you say - I've got a couple of weeks to figure tha out.
Thanks for the inspiration!

I think I'm in too......I just need to decide whether it's going to be Gia's birthday gift or the MQS casket.

Hope you're having a great summer!

Count me "in" for some Olympic stitching. I'd like to finish one of those new Prairie Schooler samplers and Hallow's Eve. A few ornaments completed would be a nice touch, too. Guess that I had better be watching A LOT of tv coverage.

i'm in, started part of a fractal bookmark today (crossstitch collectible freebee a couple of months ago). 61 colours, all shades of purple, green and gray. quite a challenge but the result will be great.
